SafePass

Road safety monitoring for Nigeria

Every Journey Matters.

SafePass is a safety-focused satnav: you register your road trip, and a real SafePass monitoring officer watches it live from departure to arrival — not an automated alert on its own.

How it works

How it works

What actually happens when you travel

Five steps. No jargon, and nothing hidden behind a signup.

  1. Step 1

    Register your journey

Set your route and departure time in the SafePass app before you leave, so there is a record of where you are going and when you should arrive.

  2. Step 2

    Fund your wallet

Monitoring is paid from your in-app wallet: a ₦2,000 minimum balance, and ₦2,000 for each monitored journey.

  3. Step 3

A real officer watches the trip

A SafePass monitoring officer — a person, not an automated alert on its own — follows your live location for the whole journey and can message you through the app.

  4. Step 4

    Confirm checkpoints and arrival

You confirm checkpoints along the route and your safe arrival at the end, so the officer always knows the journey is going as planned.

  5. Step 5

    Escalate an emergency

If you trigger the panic alert, the officer escalates straight away and the app begins silent background audio recording so evidence is preserved.

The monitoring is done by SafePass officers on shift. Automated alerts support them; they do not replace them.

How we verify

Safety data you can check, not claims you have to take on trust

SafePass seeds its map from public incident records, grows it from the journeys travellers actually take, and weights every report by how well it is corroborated — across five verification tiers.

  • Unverified
  • Partially Confirmed
  • Verified
  • Disputed
